When we want to show someone we’re really listening, we give them our undivided attention. When we want to show a brand how much we love it, we give it our undivided loyalty. 

And today we see the writer of this verse (prayer) asking for help to give God that same undivided attention. His prayer is that he might have an undivided heart—one fully devoted and dedicated to God. That’s what real connection looks like, isn’t it? 

Today, spend a moment asking God for this same undivided heart to help grow and develop your relationship with Him. Then, ask yourself: What’s one thing you can do to reduce possible distractions the next time you try to pray or connect with God?
