Living With Purpose on Purpose

DAY 3 OF 8

God has shaped and prepared you to play a unique role in each step of your story. You have a destiny determined by God that will bring Him glory and share the grace of God. Understanding your unique destiny starts with understanding what the Bible says about your purpose as God’s people.

The Bible tells us why we exist.

Ephesians 2:8-10, “For by grace you have been saved by faith. Nothing you did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the love gift from God that brought us to Christ! So no one will ever be able to boast, for salvation is never a reward for good works or human striving. We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed one. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!” (TPT)

God has a predetermined purpose for each one of us to fulfill,, which means you and I are not His afterthought, but rather, His forethought! Our purpose is to reflect the love we’ve been given, to share in the grace provided, and to spread the gospel message. Our successes are not something that we’re to boast about nor a reward for our efforts. Instead, we give God glory when we fulfill the purpose He has set before us.

Living with purpose, on purpose, defines your life according to what God thinks about you. It anchors your life in the character and call of God. It clarifies the non-negotiables and identifies what never changes about who you are, regardless of circumstances.

Isn’t it wonderful to consider yourself poetry from God? We have been joined to Jesus for a unique and amazing destiny that has been planned long ago. God is leading you by His love and grace. Be willing to accept the purpose He’s put upon your life to fulfill and walk in confidence towards your destiny.
