I Am Who Jesus Says I AmSample

I Am Who Jesus Says I Am

DAY 1 OF 3

Read Together

Some days are the best! When you win a game, have an awesome birthday, or play all day with your friends, you might feel really good about yourself.

Some days are the worst. When you fail a test, get bullied by someone, or do something embarrassing, you might feel really bad about yourself.

Jesus is different, though. Jesus doesn't say you are good on some days and bad on others. What He says about you is always true and never changes. When you choose to follow Him, you are His friend. You are loved. You are forgiven, strong, and courageous. You are a child of God!

Watch Together

Talk Together

  • What are some things you say about yourself on a good day?
  • What are some things you say about yourself on a bad day?
  • What are some things you think Jesus says about you on good days, bad days, and all the days in between?

Focus Together

Do this focus activity as a family so your child can repeat it on their own when they face difficult situations.

  • Breathe in deeply and say, “Jesus says …”
  • Exhale slowly and say, “I am ___.” Fill in the blank with something Jesus says about you.
  • Repeat as often as you like. Fill in the blank with the same words, or choose other things Jesus says about you. Examples: loved, amazing, wonderful, strong, brave, accepted, known, seen, chosen, generous, etc.

Study Together

Read today's Bible verse as a family. Talk about how it can help you remember this truth: I am who Jesus says I am.
