DAY 6 OF 24

A Blessed and Joyful Life

Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; Your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord. How precious is Your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of your delights. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light do we see light. (Psalm 36:5-9 ESV)

Psalm 36 is a psalm of praying faithfully for God’s protection. David praised God for His salvation of humankind. He is expressing the nature and goodness of God in his life and describing God’s character to us. Verses 5-9 say that those who fear God will enjoy a blessed and joyful life.

Whenever we are facing difficulties in our lives, we should remember to take refuge in God; His love is steadfast and unconditional. Regardless of what we have done, God is always there to help us bring about the best for us. We can always turn to Him for protection, safety, peace, and comfort.

We need to show the same kindness to others as God has shown us. By this, people will know that we belong to Him, and they will see God’s kindness through us.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your steadfast love. Help us to open our hearts to the leading of the Holy Spirit, so we can love others as You have loved us. Use us to help others, and empower us to win every battle we are facing that we may glorify Your name. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.
