DAY 10 OF 24

When Cornered, Trust God

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. (Psalms 56:3 ESV)

As a young child, I had people who twisted my words and falsely accused me sometimes, leading to punishment for things I did not do. In life, we get caught in manipulations and vices of those around us. These situations can happen in our own families, places of learning, or work. We lose confidence, and fear grips us.

David found himself in many such difficult situations. During these times, David turned to God, who did not leave him. God protected him and lifted him in the eyes of his enemies, who later feared David.  Today will you choose to tell God that you would trust Him when you are afraid? May the Lord deliver you from all the manipulations and the vices of those around you.

Prayer

Father, protect us from people and situations when we are cornered. Help us to run and find our refuge in You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
