## The battle of good and evil If you have read any action story or watched any action movie, it always has a good guy and a bad guy. The good guy is the one we find ourselves cheering for to save the day. He is the hero. The bad guy is evil and no one typically likes him. We love these books and movies because there is a battle between good and evil. We see it play out in so many areas of our own life. The good guys remind us of our own heroes while the bad guys can remind us of a person who hurt us. There is a real-life battle between good and evil when it comes to Jesus and Satan. Jesus came to save our world and is our hero. Satan seeks to destroy our world with evil. In Jeremiah the Lord talks about this hero who is coming, “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land. In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior.” Jesus is the King who came to restore justice. He is our ultimate Hero. He saved us from an eternity of evil. We can celebrate because He is coming soon for us, his people! P.S.
