Great Adventurers (Week 3)

DAY 4 OF 7

Day Four - Set Apart Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible. Yesterday we saw how God jumped in and kept our Great Adventurers safe - God is always with us all and has great plans for us - when we love God, we are all Set Apart to live our lives for God! READ: ‘The Fiery Furnace ’ in the Beginners Bible (Pages 247-251) or in Daniel 3. Rack, Shack, and Benny had been very bold and said ‘NO’ to King Nebuchadnezzar when he told them to worship the statue! King Nebuchadnezzar had the three Great Adventurers tied up and thrown into a hot, fiery furnace! When the King looked in the furnace, he could see four men walking around in the flames! He said that one of them looked like an angel from God! King Nebuchadnezzar expected the three Great Adventurers to be harmed. But, God’s plan is always greater than the bad plans of anyone else! We can trust that God is in control, even when things look like they may be bad, God can always make something good come from something that looks bad! “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!” ASK: Can you think of something that looks like it may be bad right now? Now can you see how God has or is making something good of it? Chat to your grownup about this and spend some time praying and thanking God for the good things. REMEMBER: ‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19:26) SAY: I’m an adventurer, I am bold, I am strong with the word of the Lord, I will follow wherever you lead. I won’t stop, I’ve been set free. In Jesus name, Amen!
