Great Adventurers (Week 3)

DAY 2 OF 7

Day Two - Set Apart Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible. Let's continue our Adventure with Rack, Shack, and Benny and see how God set them apart…. READ: 'The Fiery Furnace ' in the Beginners Bible (Pages 247-251) or in Daniel 3. King Nebuchadnezzar had built a big gold statue. He ordered that when the music played, everyone was to bow down and worship the statue. Rack, Shack, and Benny loved God and said that they would not worship the King's statue. They said, ' we only worship the one true God!' They were very BOLD! God helps you to be bold also! Sometimes when we love to do something, we can forget about how wonderful God is! We can sometimes be more excited about the thing that we love to do than we are about God. Rack, Shack, and Benny remembered how good God is and how much they loved Him. They wanted to do what they knew God would want them to - including saying no to worshipping anything else but Him. ASK: Do you think there are things that you may be more excited about more than your time with God? It's ok if there is - God loves you and wants you to understand how much He loves you. Chat to your grownups about these things, and maybe think of ways you could make changes if you need to. But remember, God loves you and wants you to know that His plan for you is the best. REMEMBER: 'Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!"' (Matthew 19:26) SAY: I'm an adventurer, I am bold, I am strong with the word of the Lord, I will follow wherever you lead. I won't stop, I've been set free. In Jesus name, Amen!
