Think about the nicest thing you’ve ever done for someone, and the person you like least in the world. Can you imagine putting those two things together? Alexander asks the Resistance to rescue Lloyd, even though he’s working on making money from fog and wants to help the Usurper. Why would he do that? Something to think about while you are reading today’s passage: Abraham seems determined to save a town that is polluting the whole area, and God seems willing to listen. Do you think Abraham is asking God to be merciful, or is he learning who God really is? How far would you go to be nice to someone who doesn’t seem to deserve it?
