Just a few passages make it clear, there is a freewill decision to receive or not receive what God has to offer us. For some reading this today, we may conclude we already received all God has for us the moment we asked Jesus to be our Lord and Savior. Others believe this to be true to an extent, but sense there must be something more to receive. Others may know well, they continue to resist what God has to offer, because the exchange of offering is simply too much. Be encouraged to take a moment to pray, and ask God to share His heart with you... Do I believe there is more God has to offer me, than what I currently choose to receive? Am I willfully resisting the fullness of Christ, because I see the cost being too much in some areas? Am I willing to leave where I am now in my walk with Christ to ascend higher while also deepening my relationship with Him? Prayer: Lord, we truly desire all that You have for us. Search our hearts and share with us where we may be blocking the blessing You have for us, because we may not have the courage to rise up to a new level of living in Christ. The degree and depth to which You are calling us may seem too much. It may require too much change, effort and discomfort. Holy Spirit, passionately and lovingly remind us You are our comfort and in the “business” of transforming lives. It is Your role in our lives, to transform us from image to image and glory to glory {see 2 Corinthians 3:18}. Lord, be with us this morning, help us respond to Your whispers and receive the song You desire to place in our lives. God keep us from being like the Israelites who could see and recognize what was right, but refused to act on it; who heard what You were saying, but do not really listen {Isaiah 42:20}. In Jesus Christ’s Name we pray, amen.
