## Unbreakable Faithfulness If you’ve been a Christian for a while, you would have read or heard the phrase, ‘God is faithful.’ It’s a phrase often declared in trials or challenging seasons to remind us of God’s faithfulness to His promises, which is true. God is faithful to His promises. But there’s more to this verse than just God is faithful. This verse tells us that He cannot help but be faithful because to do otherwise would mean He would need to disown Himself. It would mean God going against Himself and His character. God is the almighty King and the One who made the law. He is perfection and purity and all things good. He is above all else, which means it is not in Him to be anything other than faithful. What does this mean for us? It means that God is the safest place on earth. He is our safe harbour. He is our true north. He is the only one we can completely and utterly depend on because His character won’t allow Him to be anything other than faithful. And we know that God is for us. His heart is tender towards us. He has great plans for us to prosper and spend eternity with Him. There is no one who loves you more than God. No one on earth wants what’s best for you more than God. Today, can I encourage you to look to Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, and to rest in His faithfulness? Rest in the truth that He will not let you down. #### Written by LEILA ARMSTRONG
