Relentless

ДЕНЬ 9 З 10

The servants were never given clear instructions about what they should do with the master’s money while he was away. It almost doesn’t seem fair that the third servant is getting punished because he didn’t actually disobey the master. But still the master declares that the servant should be thrown into outer darkness. The master left with expectations that the servants would wisely use what he had given them, and when the expectation wasn’t met, the master was angry. If the master had told the servant that he wanted him to use the money to produce more, the third servant wouldn’t have buried it in the ground—the third servant wouldn’t have waited to act. How many people are just like the third servant, though? How many people are more than willing to do the master’s work, but are still waiting for God’s instruction? The Master has set an expectation over our lives to use what he has given us. Maybe it seems unclear where you should invest or what you are going to do with your treasure, but instead of waiting for God’s will, work for it. Don’t wait for the master’s instruction but work towards something that will be pleasing for him to return to. When we meet God face to face, we will have to give an account for the opportunity he gave us. Will you meet the expectation? Reflect: Have you been waiting for God to show you what is next? What will you boldly step into and invest your treasure in? Make a commitment to be relentless.
