#4-Simple Prayer for Healing Most of us have an area or two where we need healing. It could be physical, spiritual, emotional, mental, or relational. If you live this life long enough, you will have some hurts along the way. And until we receive healing for them, they will continue to cause us pain. We can pray for healing, but that doesn't mean walking out our healing is easy. Sometimes the healing is miraculous; God chooses to heal us instantaneously, and what a testimony that can be! In his great wisdom, God often allows healing to be a process that changes us gently on his timeline from the inside out. This means we must ask in faith and then look at our situation with our spiritual eyes. Keep believing in faith even when our feelings tell us otherwise. Keep pressing into the Lord even when our physical body isn't showing signs of healing yet. Hold onto that mustard seed of faith even when the enemy is whispering lies to us that nothing has changed and, therefore, nothing will ever change. A big part of praying for healing is not allowing doubt to creep into our minds or hearts. James 1:6 says, But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That's why we must anchor our prayers to the Rock of Ages. We pray in Jesus' name and continue to believe that the work Jesus did on the cross covers what we are praying about. No matter what. No matter how long the healing is in coming. No matter what obstacles we face. Pray. Believe. Rinse and repeat. God has your healing, and he will bring it in his perfect and holy way in his perfect and holy time. Action: Write down the healing verses at the end of this devotional.
