SOAP – Proverbs 15:33 Reverence and awe of God first begins with humility. To see oneself in the light of God’s holiness and admit one’s absolute need for a Savior is true humility. Those who know they have need of a Savior will seek Him early and often for instruction and wisdom. In what circumstance are you struggling to humble yourself to receive godly wisdom and instruction? Many of the things God calls His people to do are the opposite of what culture considers popular or desirable. To follow God requires humility so that we trust that His ways are best. Father God, create in me a humble heart. Help me to see Your ways as high above my own. Lord, remind me that all wisdom begins with an accurate view of You. When I stray from Your wisdom, Lord, give me quick and gentle correction that always leads me back to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
