Preparation: The Lord will prepare us for the trials that will come our way. He will prepare us in many and various ways. Have you ever encountered a situation when all of a sudden you could see why all the things in the past had happened? You realize that God had been preparing you for such a time as this. When we go through trials and difficulties we often wonder what is going on. But He has a plan. He doesn't make mistakes.

We can rest in His love, His perfect wisdom, and His sovereign grace. We need not fear. His preparation techniques may not be the ones we would choose, but know, believe, and trust, that His ways are perfect and that He loves us. Almighty God, our great Shepherd, equips us with everything we need to do his will. He works in us that which is pleasing in his sight, all to His glory and our joy.

Lord God Almighty, be near to me as I face today and as I look to tomorrow. I know you will prepare me for whatever comes. I believe that you have prepared me. I do not want to take matters into my own hands or rely on my own strength. Help me keep my eyes upon you and not focus on the circumstances. Grant me your grace to walk forward by faith in the power of the Spirit. In Jesus' name. Amen.
