Satan Vs. Jesus in the Desert
Tests and trials are a part of life. Everyone faces them at some point. Even Jesus did.
Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights in a desert. DO NOT TRY THIS! Jesus was able to do it because, well, He’s Jesus. Water-walking, dead-raising, sick-healing, crowd-feeding, won’t-stay-dead, temple-table-flippin’ Jesus.
The point is, He was in a weak and vulnerable state, and here came Satan to test Him.
Every time Jesus stood strong and didn’t give in when He was weak because He was prepared. He quoted Scripture to combat Satan’s attacks.
Life will throw trials and temptations your way without warning. One day things are going great—and the next we find ourselves in tough situations.
That’s why it’s important for you to be spiritually prepared for when those surprise trials and temptations show up so that you don’t get taken out by them.
