Today’s reading from Mark is a crazy story about a man who was controlled by demons. He was out of control of his own life, and and the only one who could free him was Jesus.

You may have something going on that feels totally out of your control. A tough family situation. Something going on at school. Maybe an issue with a friend or a relationship.

Or maybe something has control of you, like pornography, drugs, drinking, lying, loneliness, anger, sadness, or another negative emotion. You just can’t seem to quit it. You keep finding yourself back into it.

You need to know that God is in control. He always wins, and His power is greater than anything you might be going through or struggling with.

You can be freed from whatever it is by the power of Jesus.

You will have struggles, bad days, hurts, breakups, bad grades, bad friends, crazy families, spiritual attacks—but take heart because if Jesus has overcome the world, then He can definitely overcome whatever it is that you’re going through.
