Through the Bible: Psalms

DAY 17 OF 24

Our Father’s Love

Lord, You're so kind and tenderhearted to those who don't deserve it and so patient with people who fail You! Your love is like a flooding river overflowing its banks with kindness. (Psalm 103:8 TPT)

Heaven and earth are full of God’s glory. All creation sing praises to its Creator, with heaven declaring His great Majesty. We should rejoice and lift our voice and praise Him. For God is good, His love endures forever. This psalm is overflowing with descriptions of God’s love. God is described as being compassionate like a father to His son. He knows our weaknesses, and instead of holding our sins against us, He is ready to forgive us and wipe out our sins by taking our place upon the cross and dying for us. We should spend time thanking God for the things He has done for you and me and the prayers He has answered. Remember, too, how He has shown you His grace and forgiveness!

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, we thank You that we serve a compassionate God who delights in crowning us with tender mercies. In Jesus' name, Amen.
