I have had some very disappointing things happen in my life—times when I was broken hearted and truly sad. It was hard to go to God in the sadness because honestly, I was disappointed that He allowed it to happen.
These verses from Psalm 71 have comforted me because they show that we can acknowledge that God allowed the difficult circumstances and that life is pretty hard. And although you don’t feel better yet, you can trust that the Lord will bring you comfort and restore you in time.
