Have you ever been given a gift with strings attached? Maybe someone gave you something but wanted something back in return. 

When God gives us the gift of peace, He doesn’t expect anything in return. He doesn’t expect us to earn that gift or even be worthy of it. Why? Because He, the Giver, has already done the work for us! 

Peace with God is our reality because of Jesus, not because of anything we can do. God wants to be at peace with us because He wants a relationship with us. That’s why He’s given us the gift of peace through Jesus. 

If you run into moments of stress today, pause and remind yourself that peace is God’s free gift.
