You’re With Us In The Fire And The Flood

I am frequently reminded of a great passage from the book of Daniel where we encounter a story involving three brothers (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego). These brothers have refused to worship idols and willingly disobey the law of the land. As a result of their obedience to God and disobedience to Nebuchadnezzar they are condemned to death by fire. Even as they are being led towards the flames they refused to give in, and trusted that God would be with them. Indeed He was!

Though we may be led into some tough situations, God walks with us in the midst of the mess and keeps us safe from harm. You may be facing a situation today and wondering how you can possibly walk through it and come out the other end unharmed. Thankfully, we can have faith that as we step forward in obedience God will walk through the fire with us! He is our protector, and our defender.

Scripture offers us powerful reminders of God’s faithfulness to His people. The Creator of the universe is walking with us in our most desperate moments.
