DAY 5 OF 7

KEY 5 // WHAT’S THE POINT OF CHRISTIANITY? Whether you are a Christian or not we’ve all asked this question before, or probably will ask this question at some point in our lives. There are so many religions in the world today, so many opinions and let's be honest, they all sound good. So why Christianity? What's the point in it? There are many reasons but it really comes down to these two things. Christianity is the only religion with a living God. Which means today we can speak to God and hear Him speaking back to us. We can face hard things in our lives but we won’t face them alone. Life is complicated and not easy, but doing it knowing that we can lean on God and look to him makes it all worthwhile. The Bible speaks about loving others. In society, there are so many things that suggest that we should love ourselves over others, putting ourselves first - but that's not God’s plan. This Christian principle teaches us to put others first which helps us live better lives. A core principle of Christianity is to help the poor, the needy, the sick, THE OTHER. TAKEAWAY TIPS An important thing to remember, with Christianity, is the point of it is simply, Jesus and people. But in order to follow these things, the best way to do that is in community and we believe God knew this! In today's world, community is more important than ever, more needed than ever before. The “point” is not to do life alone but with others. So, get involved, and then you will see for yourself what the whole point of Christianity is.
