NGÀY 5 TRONG 7

How do you handle problem? There is a story about an old farmer whose donkey fell into a well. After several failed attempts to lift the donkey, the farmer began to give up. Sadly, he asked his son to fill the well with soil and bury the donkey in the well. So the boy started to shovel the soil from the truck, and the two of them started covering the well with soil and buried the donkey in it. But the donkey did not stand still. The first shovel of soil hit his head, his eyes, and made him sneeze. Every shovel of soil made the old donkey stomp its feet at the bottom of the well. After several trucks of soil, the donkey kept stamping its feet and stood on the soil that was thrown at him. Little by little the soil rose and the donkey managed to get itself out of the well. There are many ways people deal with problems that happen in their lives. Some of them will continue to complain. They cannot overcome setbacks and disappointments too well. Some people are defeated by just a few problems. Some people get confused, spin around and don't seem to know what to do. Then some people cannot be defeated. They are like the donkey. Problems can hit their heads, but they only stomp until they can use the problem and rise above it. Look at the great heroes in the Bible. They are men and women who could overcome problems. Moses was that kind of man. And of course Joseph, who rose from the bottom of the well and became a leader in Egypt. Wasn't David also such a man, who rose above his mistakes and problems? And Esther was a woman who didn't allow problems to paralyze her. How can they do this? The reason why these people can stand at the "well" of life is that they have great faith in God. A childish attitude says, "If God loves me, then He will take all these problems and make something from them." God loves you and will reveal Himself to you through His word. Your faith will rise. God wants us to learn to exercise our faith. When you realize this and accept it, it will give you the power to overcome anything in life that you have never experienced before. Before you become a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others. (Jack Welch) Reflection : God gives the hardest battles to strong armies. Suffering is temporary, but giving up is forever. For you as a child of God, suffering is not to destroy you but to shape the quality of your heart.
