True worship takes place in the hearts of believers whose lives are correctly aligned with God’s Word. How should I respond? Most of us are quick to pray for someone when there’s a crisis or urgent need, but we get so caught up in our own lives that praying for leaders and people in authority can be easily overlooked. How have you prayed this week for someone who has a place of authority over you? Write down the names of people who make decisions affecting you and your family. Begin to faithfully pray for them by name. It’s difficult to have hard feelings toward someone you’re praying for, even when you disagree with that person’s opinions or politics.
