Psalm 23

There are moments in every day when a question bubbles up inside my mind. The question comes while I'm exhausted folding laundry with one hand and trying to cradle a baby with the other. I'm so weary, where is my strength? It comes when I wake up in the morning and immediately face that problem that I haven't been able to solve yet. Where is my breakthrough? The question flashes across a smile on my face as I listen to my children laugh. What is the source of this unspeakable joy? When that unexpected phone call comes and turns my day upside down, I take a deep breath and ask myself ""Where is my peace?""

The answer to every question, to every longing, every tear cried, the wellspring of hope and joy and life is Jesus. His magnificent Name stands above every other name! I have hope for my breakthrough because it is found in Him alone. My victory has a Name; it's Jesus! The joy that bursts through any darkened day has a Name; Jesus!

I trust and I know that when I call on His Name, when I lift high His Name, and even when I barely manage to whisper His Name, He meets me where I am. He leads me beside still waters and He restores my soul. He's the love that gathers me up in every season and carries me through.

Today, remind yourself. There is an answer to what you need in your life for this moment and this season. The joy, the hope, the breakthrough, the love....has a Name; Jesus! Lift your head and fix your eyes on Him. Don’t be distracted by the waves of the sea around you or the winds of the storm. He is there with you in the midst of it all and He already conquered it all.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
