Love God With All

DAY 1 OF 6

Day 1: The Most Important Commandment

As we read through Scripture, there are many commands or commandments that we see. It is easy for Christianity to seem like a list of rules and guidelines that we have to follow to maintain closeness with God, but this is far from the truth. This week we are going to dive deep into how we can follow what Scripture calls “The Greatest Command” and love God with all we are.

Step one is knowing what this command says. We will read three passages of Scripture today that show what this command is, stated in slightly different ways and in different contexts. The coolest part about this command is that it takes the 613 commands that are listed throughout the Old Testament and simplifies them into one statement.

Christianity is about relationship, not religion. We have the beautiful gift of getting to see the entire picture that the Bible paints and to truly know our Creator. Relationship with God is simple, not complex and this week we will dive into what is keeping us from loving God with all that we are and how we can truly break down our walls and surrender those things to Him.

Next Steps

God’s desire for us is that we would walk in community with Him and with other believers. Think through what is keeping you from going “all in” with your relationship with God and write those things down. If you haven’t already, invite a friend to read this plan with you and talk to them about what you wrote. The enemy has hold of what stays hidden, but there is power in sharing with trusted people.

Day 2

About this Plan

Love God With All

We were created to be in a relationship with our Creator. Yet in the world today, it is so easy to get sidetracked and to place someone or something in the high place where God belongs. Why do we do this? How do we stop?...
