Music: Scripture Songs of Healing (Part II)

DAY 2 OF 4

Day 2: Ephesians 4/5 - Be Filled With The Holy Spirit

I remember writing this song. I was in the tangible presence of the Holy Spirit. I love it when that happens. When I sang these verses, I felt the Spirit move and dance around me.

The same thing happened again when I played it to my wife, we were both in tears by so much presence of the Spirit.

And it got me wondering...

Did you know that Paul spent more than three years in the Arabian desert after his encounter with Jesus? (Gal 1: 11-20)

Three years of reflecting, being alone with God. Metanoia.

It's a Greek word and means 'to change your mind, to change direction'. It's the original word for 'repent'.

But it's a process. 'Put on your new nature' (Eph 4: 24). A process which should be led by the Holy Spirit, not by sheer willpower.

All healing, whether it is physical, mental, or emotional, takes place in our mind for a big part. Do you really believe God wants you well? Do you know in your heart that Jesus already healed you through what He did on the cross? Can you embrace your healing? Do you see yourself as being healed and healthy? Think about it for a while.

It says in Eph 4:23 and Eph 5:18, 'Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes' and 'be filled with the Holy Spirit'. (NLT)

Ephesians 4/5 – Be Filled With The Holy Spirit

Eph. 4:
23. Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.
24. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

Eph. 5:
8. Live as people of light!
14. “Awake, O sleeper, rise up."

Eph. 4:
22. Throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life
23. Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.
24. Put on your new nature

Eph. 5: 8. Live as people of light!
14. “Awake, O sleeper, rise up

18. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit
be filled with the Holy Spirit

19. Singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs
making music to the Lord in your hearts.

20. And give thanks for everything to God the Father
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
