15 Days Year End Prayer and Fast

DAY 10 OF 15

Faith for Revival

In the journey of faith, there are moments when our hearts yearn for a revival—a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit that renews and transforms us individually and collectively. It is in these times that our faith takes center stage, for it is through faith that we lay hold of the promises of God and anticipate the glorious revival He longs to bring into our lives.

The renowned revivalist Charles Finney once said,

"Revival is a renewed conviction of sin and repentance, followed by an intense desire to live in obedience to God. It is giving up one's will to God in deep humility."

This insight highlights the vital role that faith plays in the process of revival. It is through faith that we recognize our need for repentance, and it is through faith that we surrender our will to God, trusting in His transformative power.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

This verse emphasizes the importance of humility, prayer, seeking God's face, and turning away from sin—essential elements for experiencing revival. It is through faith that we approach God with a contrite heart, believing in His promise to forgive and heal.

Psalm 85:6 (NIV)

"Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

The psalmist's plea for revival expresses faith in God's ability to revive and bring joy to His people. Our faith is a catalyst for revival, as we trust that God hears our cries and responds with His restoring power.

Habakkuk 3:2 (NIV)

"Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy."

Habakkuk's prayer for a manifestation of God's deeds in his time reflects a deep yearning for revival. It is a prayer of faith that acknowledges God's past faithfulness and seeks a renewed experience of His mighty works.

In the tapestry of faith for revival, let us weave the threads of humility, prayer, repentance, and trust in God's promises. May our faith be the foundation upon which the Holy Spirit moves in power, bringing about a revival that transforms hearts, renews minds, and draws us closer to the heart of our loving Father.
