Like Jesus: Living With Your Vision

DAY 2 OF 4

Like Jesus: Living with Your Vision - Is Writing and Prioritizing Your Vision 'Hard'?

Just as Jesus sought guidance and support from the Father to fulfill his earthly vision, seek feedback and encouragement from trusted sources to evolve and learn. Understand that your vision is not just about you but how you can positively impact others, just as Jesus did. Embrace the idea that growth is ongoing. Recognize Your Uniqueness. Understand that you are uniquely special. There is no one else in the universe quite like you, and your vision should reflect your distinctive qualities.

Creating a vision for your life may initially appear as a daunting task, but it is, in fact, a powerful tool for achieving your dreams. Think of it as a compass guiding you toward the life you desire. Jesus' example can make this process more manageable and meaningful. Much like a director envisions a perfect production, envisioning your ideal life communicates your values and goals. Start by exploring your passions, talents, and what inspires you about events, people, places, and services. To begin, take a mental journey into the future. Picture your life five to ten years ahead. Imagine your purpose and position in your personal life. Define what success means to you.

Consider Your Unique Attributes. Reflect on your personality, temperament, and nature. Recognize any opposing factors and create analogies to understand them better. Formulate tangible, measurable goals that align with your vision.

Crafting Your Personal Vision Statement

A personal vision statement captures your values, strengths, and long-term goals. It can be personal or professional, orienting you toward your aspirations. Effective vision statements are memorable and serve as triggers for your vision.

Find inspiration from Christ's example in the journey to set your vision. Incorporate Christ's teachings into your vision-setting process. Just as Jesus knew His calling and purpose, your vision can serve as your guiding light. It will provide you with clarity, purpose, and a sense of direction in the journey toward your best life.Creating your vision may not be easy, but with Christ's example, you can find the strength, clarity, and inspiration needed to embark on this transformative journey. Remember, your vision is a testament to your unique purpose in the world, helping you shape a future that aligns with your deepest aspirations. “When we know our call and election, we will not stumble.”

Now, in order to set a Vision for your life, work to resolve old wounds. Understand it’s not about you. Don’t limit yourself, keep growing, get feedback and buy-in from trusted sources. You are very special and you are unique and one of a kind in this whole universe.

Reflective Questions:

1. What is your personal or professional vision for your life?

2. What steps can you take to resolve any old wounds or limitations that may be hindering you from achieving your vision?

3. How can you use your unique talents and strengths to contribute to the world and achieve your vision?
