Being Whole: 21 Days to Overcoming Relational Trauma

DAY 8 OF 21

PURPOSE:

Purpose is a fundamental aspect of human existence. It is the reason for which we exist, the driving force behind our actions, and the source of meaning and fulfillment in our lives. Think about how trauma can impact this. If pain is not addressed, it will rob your purpose. Having a sense of purpose gives us direction, motivation, and a sense of accomplishment. It helps us to focus on what is truly important and to prioritize our time and energy accordingly. It is a deeply personal and individual concept, and what gives one person a sense of purpose may not necessarily do the same for another. Ultimately, purpose is about finding what brings us joy, meaning, and fulfillment in life, and pursuing those things with passion and dedication.

Connecting to God's plan for our life involves having a deep and personal relationship with Him and being open to His guidance and direction. It requires a willingness to surrender our own desires and ambitions, and to trust that God has a unique purpose and plan for each of us. This can involve prayer, meditation, and reading sacred texts to gain a better understanding of God's will for our lives. It also involves being aware of and receptive to the opportunities and challenges that come our way and seeking to use them to grow and fulfill our God-given purpose. Ultimately, connecting to God's plan for our life brings a sense of peace and fulfillment, as we align ourselves with His greater purpose and work towards making a positive impact in the world.

Questions to Ponder:

What is your purpose? Do you know? Take some time to ponder the passions, gifts, and callings. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal your purpose. If you know your purpose, engage your heart with why you are still stagnant?
