Making a decision to follow Jesus takes a lot of courage. But it is only the beginning!
God asks us to sacrifice for Him every day. That means He wants us to give up things we love and things we’re used to doing if they keep us from living for Him.
That’s tough, but it’s worth it. The Bible says it’s like exercising your body, building up your muscles, and staying focused on getting a prize in a race.
What do you need to give up so you can get better at living for God each day? Maybe it’s talking back, having a bad attitude, or playing when you know you need to spend some time learning from the Bible. It could be anything that distracts you from God!
Each time you’re distracted, remember you’re running a race for God. Ask Him for courage to keep sacrificing. Jesus is your amazing prize at the end!
