Problems: Finding the Hidden Gems WithinSample

Problems: Finding the Hidden Gems Within

DAY 5 OF 5

Day 5 - Problems unlock rewards from God

As you know, life is full of problems. Whether big or small, these problems have the power to consume you and take over your thoughts.

However, I believe that the problem you solve for others determines the problem God will solve for you.

Ephesians 6:8, says, "'knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.”

This verse says you have been given freedom, but it is not meant to be used selfishly.

Instead, it is meant to solve problems and has a reward attached to it.

When you use your freedom to solve problems, you are fulfilling your purpose and showing God's love.

And when you do that, God will, in turn, solve the problems you have in your own lives.

How good is that!

One example of a problem-solving story from the scriptures with a blessing attached is the story of Joseph in the book of Genesis.

Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers and falsely accused of a crime by his master's wife.

Despite these problems, Joseph was able to interpret Pharaoh's dreams and offer a solution to the impending famine.

As you know, Pharaoh placed Joseph in charge of Egypt's food supply, and Joseph's family was able to come and live in Egypt, where they were blessed with abundance.

Genesis 41:46 states "Joseph was thirty years old when he entered the service of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from Pharaoh's presence and traveled throughout Egypt."

Additionally, Genesis 45:7 says "Then God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance."

The Lord blessed Joseph for his problem-solving abilities, and it ultimately led to the preservation of many lives.

This is a great reminder that the problem you solve for others will ultimately determine the problem God will solve for YOU.

You are called to serve others and when you do that, God will take care of you.

As Pastor Craig Groeschel says, "God is not going to drop something good in your lap. He's going to drop something in your lap and say, 'You take care of it, and I'll take care of you.' "

What problem is coming at you right now that you know you can solve for someone?

Have you been delaying it?

What if you saw that problem differently?

Another great verse of this principle is found in Proverbs 11:25 "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed."

I tell yah, I love being refreshed, don’t you?

Looking back, my hand is raised concerning all the times I was guilty of having a bad attitude as it pertained to problems.

There were so many times when I was guilty of selfishness. I only wanted to fix my problems. But when I read this verse in Proverbs and was reminded of the blessings of Joseph, wow!

Something shifted for me and I believe it is going to shift for you.

I want to challenge you to be generous toward others. I want to challenge you to refresh others. I want to challenge you to expect God to reward you.

I want you to see yourself as a walking problem solver. Everywhere you go, you are solving problems and blessings are overtaking you and your family.

Write Ephesians 6:8 down and place it all over your house, your car, and your workplace.

When I began to do this, my life and business radically transformed.

As you go into your day, I want to leave you with a prayer.

Lord, bless them and watch over them.
May your face shine upon them.
I ask for their eyes to be enlightened to problems.
May their steps be aligned with you.
Light their way, Lord.
Show them the path you have for them.
Help them be the light in every sphere of this world.
Give them the courage to continue.
Give them faith for the day.
Bless them Lord.
Amen.
