A Higher Vision: Adopting God's Principles and Perspective in Our Life

DAY 2 OF 5

COURAGE OUT OF CONNECTION

How is courage born? How do we have more courage?

Courage is born out of connection with God! - Joshua 1:6-8

In the book of Joshua, as the children of Israel were finally getting ready to cross into their Promised Land, the Lord commanded Joshua several times within the first chapter to be strong and courageous! Why? Because He - the Lord, was with him! Courage and boldness came through a relationship with God because Joshua had already seen God's miracles and experienced His presence.

When we know God's character, we can trust His Word!

Genesis 1-3 talks about our broken connection with God because of unbelief. Sin entered the world through Adam and Eve's disobedience, then immediate rejection, shame, and fear flooded humanity. Although Adam and Eve sold their birthrights to satan, Christ came to redeem us back to Himself.

When we receive Christ, we receive NEW LIFE, and our authority is restored. We can be bold and courageous and bring freedom to others because we recognize Christ in our lives and that His sacrifice on the cross is enough to seal our redemption from sin and condemnation.

Remember that you are A NEW CREATION, and your relationship with Christ gives you the courage to live without fear and shame!
