For a second, just imagine what your friendships would look like if you didn’t talk to them at all… like literally at all. Silence. I’m sure it didn’t take you long to think about how awkward that would be. If you didn’t talk to your friends, you probably wouldn’t even be able to stay friends with them. Why is talking to each other so important?

Well, it’s how we get to know each other.

The same goes for you and your friendship with Jesus.

You’re not going to get to know Him unless you take time to talk to Him and allow Him to speak to you.

Now imagine someone who you tell absolutely everything to. You know they love you, no matter what you say and how honest you are - they are pretty special, right?

Well, I want to remind you today that God loves you way more than even that, so how much more does He want to hear about how you feel? He invites you to be completely open and honest with Him - prayer doesn’t need to be polite and formal, far from it! Prayer is real and authentic communication with the living God!
