DAY 3 OF 5

Jesus is Interceding For Us

Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died more than that, who was raised who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.
Roman 8:34 (ESV)

When I was young, I broke my mum’s flower vase. She did not get angry with me. Instead, she hugged and comforted me. She told me to be careful not to step on the broken glass. My mum loves me by showing mercy to me.

Throughout the Bible, we see many illustrations of God’s mercy. God fully demonstrated His mercy in Jesus Christ. From today’s verse, we read Jesus was raised and seated at the right hand of God; indeed Jesus is interceding for us. He appears before God on our behalf, praying that we may be fully saved and brought into God’s eternal purpose. Christ knows our situation, our weaknesses, and our condition, and He intercedes for us constantly. We can put our trust in Him for our salvation. As a result of His intercession for us, we are regenerated, transformed, renewed, and restored. How wonderful is it to know that Christ as our divine High Priest is interceding and caring for us!

Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your constant intercession for us before God. Help us to always walk with You, to understand Your plan and purpose for our lives. Lord, keep us open to You all the time. We are grateful for You undertaking our case and being our great defender. We love You with all our heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
