Praying the Scripture Through LentSample

Praying the Scripture Through Lent

DAY 13 OF 40

The Son

Jesus is God in every sense of the word. He is eternal, immortal, and almighty. His humility is mind-boggling, considering He was the maker of heaven and earth yet surrendering to a gruesome death on earth in obedience to His Father. Our goal should be that, on a day-to-day basis, we aim to be more like Him.

Use these verses to worship and adore Him for who He is, what He’s done, and ask Him to help you live a life that pleases Him and brings Him glory. Read the scriptures as prayers of worship, thanksgiving, and supplication, believing that there is power in every declaration.

Hebrews 13:8 AMP
Jesus Christ is [eternally changeless, always] the same yesterday and today and forever.
Philippians 2:6-8 ESV
who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,[a] 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant,[b] being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Ephesians 4:15 AMP
But speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head—Christ.
