Let's Grow in Confidence!

DAY 4 OF 7

Have you ever been burned in oil?

Did you know the Apostle John was boiled in a pot of oil? That’s right. In fact, the Romans and Jews could not kill him, so they exiled him to the island of Patmos. Maybe that’s why he says in 1 John 5:14, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” (1 John 5:14, NIV)

Do you have the confidence to face difficult trials? Do you look for more opportunities to pray for the sick or start a new company?

The Apostle John had confidence in God because he survived several murder attempts. God always rescued him, so it gave John great confidence in prayer. Do you have confidence in prayer?

John makes a stunning confession in 1 John: “...that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” (1 John 5:14, NKJV) There are a few important aspects to this confidence that you can acquire:

  1. You’ve got to ask. Don’t be shy! God loves you.

  2. Your requests should be according to God’s will. Many Christians are afraid of praying because of this verse. They are paralyzed by the confusion. I recommend you pray with faith and leave the results to God.

  3. God hears us when we pray. Hallelujah!

John the Apostle was so confident because he’d had victory over threats and attacks. David the shepherd boy killed a lion and bear. What about you? Have you had any victories? Have you seen any miracles or answered prayer?

I’m praying that you will learn how to pray and even find God’s will. The Bible tells us we can become confident in life and sure of His perfect will in our lives: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2, NIV)

So, would you commit to jumping on the transformation journey train? If we can help, please let us know because you are a miracle.

Your friend, Paul Marc Goulet
