When You Don't Know What to Pray Sample

When You Don't Know What to Pray

DAY 2 OF 7

When You Feel Anxious

Father, I come before You today with anxiety in my heart. The what-ifs are overwhelming me. At times, this uneasiness strikes me in a manner that consumes my thoughts and paralyzes me from moving forward. I dread the dark unknowns ahead of me. But, Father, this I call to mind, and therefore, I have hope: You hold my future in Your hands, and nothing can thwart Your purposes for me.

Father, I know Your desire is to give me peace. You know what really consumes me and dominates my thoughts—the false beliefs that keep me fearful. Thank You for revealing those wounded, unhealthy, broken places within me and for Your liberating love that empowers me to overcome. Thank You for teaching me the truth by which I can be set free.

Lord, I acknowledge that, ultimately, what I am facing is a faith battle and that a great deal of what I struggle with comes down to what I believe about You. Likewise, it is possible that some of my anxiety comes from negative interactions with authority figures and experiences early in my life that have influenced how I view You. Father, I want to know who You truly are. Reveal Yourself to me through Your Word. Help me to see You as my perfect security, identity, and the highest goal of my life. I know that when I trust in You, I will never be disappointed.

Therefore, I declare once and for all that I believe You because You are greater, stronger, and more powerful than any problem I could ever face. Thank You for being my Father, understanding my situation, and caring enough to help me in every circumstance. I am grateful that this situation will help me know You better and that You will guide me in the best way possible. I give all my concerns to You and trust that You have already given me the victory through the Lord Jesus.

Father, I know that Your healing in me has begun. Thank You for loving me unconditionally, providing for me, and breaking me free of this bondage to anxiety. Through the work of Your Holy Spirit, expose what is hidden, repair what has been broken, and make me into everything You purposed I would be when You formed me. I commit my life to Your loving care, knowing You have never let me down and never will. Thank You for giving me the peace that passes understanding in all that concerns me.

In Jesus’s name I pray. Amen.
