A Never-Give-Up Love

Hebrew 13:5b

Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.

God used Hosea’s life to show Israel what a never-give-up kind of love looks like. God instructed Hosea to marry Gomer although Hosea knew that Gomer would not be faithful to him. True enough, when they were married Gomer was unfaithful to Hosea. Broken-hearted and feeling betrayed, Hosea might have wanted to give up. However, he didn’t. Gomer wasn’t faithful to him, but Hosea remained faithful.

Through this, God wanted to show His people even when they were not faithful to Him, He remained faithful to them.

There are times when we choose to follow our own will and disobey His word. There are times when we choose to fulfil our own pleasures rather than pleasing God’s heart. Many times, we are unfaithful to God.

Regardless of that, God’s love never gives up. Even when we are unfaithful, God remains faithful to us. God has not given up nor will He ever give up on us, and He always asks us to come back to His embrace and love. Let us be faithful to Him.

Prayer

Dear God, thank You for never giving up on me no matter how far I’ve gone. Help me to walk faithfully with You. Amen.
