How To Strengthen Your Faith

DAY 6 OF 9

Know What You Believe and Why You Believe It

What if someone asks you what you believe or why you believe what you believe? Are you able to answer them?

Do you really know what you believe and why you believe it?

Here are three ways to strengthen your faith to help you be able to know what you believe and why you believe it.

  1. Ask questions! There are no stupid questions … just stupid people. Just kidding! If you have a question about anything spiritual, don’t be afraid to ask it. Go find out the answer, and don’t stop ‘til you learn it.
  2. Get to know God. Spend time reading your Bible. You will learn who God is and how He relates to mankind. You’ll learn what Jesus did throughout His life and why He did those things. Faith in God means to be a Christian. To be a Christian means to live like Christ.
  3. Pray. Ask God to reveal Himself to you. Also, when you find your faith being tested in any way, go to God about it and let Him help get you through.

There will be times when your faith will be tested. Everyone’s faith gets tested. Maybe someone asks a question about what you believe, and honestly you don’t know how to answer them. While you talk to them, pray that God would give you the words to say. Pray that God would help you recall Scripture (which is why it’s important to read Scripture in the first place) to your mind and give you the right words in that moment.

When you do those three things: ask questions, get to know God, and pray, you will begin to see your faith grow deeper. Your faith will be strengthened.
