When we choose to follow Jesus,
He gives us peace that never leaves us.
Has your mom or dad ever asked you to do something, and then you forgot to do it? That probably happened because you got distracted. Maybe you started thinking about something else, or saw something interesting. Distractions take your focus off what is best and put your focus on something less important.
In today’s Bible story, Martha got distracted by many things. She stopped feeling Jesus’ peace. Mary remembered what is best: stay focused on Jesus. Jesus’ peace is always with you, but when you spend time with Him, you will be able to feel it a lot more.
