Your Part in the Church

You have made it through our study! We have covered four different parts of the Church in this study, and hopefully you now have a better understanding of how you are a part of it. So where do we go from here? The Bible says we are a part of the Church, but how do we live that out? Notice what the Church is not. The Bible does not say a church is all about us or finding programs that we like or doing things our way. We are told to be the Church, which means loving and serving one another. Here are a few ideas on how you can be a participant in the Church: 

• Find a local church if you don’t already have one. If you are struggling to find a church or have questions, contact us through berea.org, and we would be happy to connect you to one in our network! 


• Get plugged into the youth ministry and/or a small group. Joining a small group is a great way to meet people in the church and get involved in the community. 


• Find a spot where you can serve in the church. While church is a wonderful space to get filled and learn, it isn’t about you! It’s about serving one another in love.  

You are the bride, building, and body of Christ. You are a child of God. Above all else, you have value in God’s eyes because you are his, and you have a mission to show others their unique value as well. The Church is not about you; it’s about the fullness of the bride, body, building, and family of God; and about expanding and advancing the Kingdom so that everyone will know God’s love.
