Business With God

DAY 1 OF 12

We are meant to walk with God. Many choose to live merely for God. Christianity, though, is not a list of do's and don'ts. Its primary aim isn't to perfect our judgement. It isn't trying to transform humanity into ascetics, nor is its aim to make us into extravagantly generous billionaires.

Christianity is a connection with God, made available through Jesus! Walking with God is the great mystery, privilege, and calling of humanity. God calls us all to this radical simplicity: be with Him. If we are walking with Him, we are succeeding. If we are not walking with Him, we are failing. Life really is this simple.

How does this look in business? We'll get to that. Today, though, is about understanding the supremacy of "with-ness."  This is the hardest part of Christianity!

Being with Him requires us to surrender fully to Him. This is not a one-time decision, but a lifestyle we cultivate with the Holy Spirit. Jesus demonstrated it perfectly! And now we get to walk in His footsteps. Every day and in every decision, are we tapping into our connection with God? Are we surrendering our judgment to His? Do we prefer to be with Him in "failure" than without Him in "success"?

Once our connection with Him becomes our priority, we unlock the potential of God in our vocation. And that is exciting! So, I end with two questions:

1. How much do you value your connection with God?

2. How might the Holy Spirit be inviting you to partner with Him today?
