Brokenness Isn’t What You Think
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
When I was younger I was always that kid that had to try something dangerous to fully find out it wasn’t good for me. Testing the sharpness of a pocket knife, seeing if the fire was actually hot, etc. Bless my mom by the way. Because of these decisions I have a few scars to show from it. And these scars now tell a story.
But there was a moment where those scars were wounds. They hurt. I covered them up. They were painful, and if anyone touched them I would cringe.
I think a lot of us have spiritual wounds we don’t realize. There’s places we cringe when people get close to, or things we try so much to hide.
But the beautiful thing about Jesus is He turns wounds into scars. And think about how different a scar is from a wound. A wound hurts, a scar tells a story. A wound can get infected, a scar is healed. A wound you hide, a scar you show.
