Fear Busters (Week 1)Sample

Fear Busters (Week 1)

DAY 2 OF 7

 Day Two - Trust Him!

As we are learning that God makes us brave, we are looking at the story of Jesus walking on water. You can read this too in the Beginners Bible (page 364-371) or in Matthew 14:22-33!

In this story we see Jesus asking Peter to step out onto the water. This would have taken Peter a lot of courage and fearlessness to do! It would have also meant that Peter needed to trust Jesus with everything - he needed to trust that Jesus would keep him safe and look after him. Peter would have needed to trust that Jesus was who He said He was!

Jesus promises us lots of things - He promises to look after us, to take away any fear we have, to comfort us, to give us strength and to never leave us!

ASK:

Can you think of any other things God promises us in His word?

What promises of God do you need to start speaking out over yourself and your life?

What do you need to trust Jesus with more?

 REMEMBER:

Our memory verse for this series, 2 Timothy 1:7, says that "For God has not given us a spirit of fear or timidity, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." This means that we don’t have to be afraid of anything! God is with you all the time, and He loves and cares for you so much!

FEARBUSTER PRAYER:

You are bigger than my fears, you wipe away my tears. I have a voice to pray, you teach me what to say. I am brave because of You! We tell our fear to quit, we've had enough of it!
