R.O.B. FearSample

R.O.B. Fear

DAY 10 OF 10

I R.O.B. fear of its power when I believe God will help me.

A kid tried to make friends with someone who looked lonely, but it didn’t work out. He thought, “What’s wrong with me? Why don’t they like me?”

Later, the kid saw his aunt having a bad day, and wanted to pray with her, but couldn’t shake the idea, “What if I mess up and sound stupid?”

The next day, the kid told someone about Jesus, and got laughed at. He wondered, “Maybe I’m not so good at all this Jesus stuff.”

How do you think that kid felt after all that?

When those kinds of things happen, it’s hard to try again. But here’s the thing: God asks all of us to share His love and the message of Jesus with people who don’t know Him yet.

But fear is going to bring back the memories of the times it didn’t go so well, so you won’t try again. Use God’s truth from Isaiah 41:13 to R.O.B. that fear of its power. You can have hope that God will help you do the things He wants you to do.

Talk it over: When have you felt like a failure after you did something you knew God wanted you to do? Take the time to R.O.B. that fear of its power: R—remember God’s truth from Isaiah 41:13, O—open your mouth and say it out loud, and B—battle it out by trying again.
