– Know God's will

Did you know that the medical field is now the #1 business in our nation? People are sicker today than ever historically.

In 2003, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. That was when I realized when I personally did not know God's will regarding sickness and disease. I did not know if it was his will to heal my mom or if it was her time to go. I started seeking God like never before. Every spare minute of the next two years, my nose was in the word.

One day, John 10:10 leaped off the page. Little did I know that it would change the entire direction of my life. "The thief came only to steal, kill, and destroy, but I have come to give life and life abundantly." Up until this day, I thought sickness and colds were just a part of life. I had yet to realize that they were thieves. Cancer is not abundant life. Illness is not an abundant life. According to this verse, Jesus came that we could have life and life abundantly! I did not know the difference between God's fingerprints and the thief's fingerprints. Because I was unsure, I never successfully resisted the enemy's attacks on my life. I became fearful when sickness appeared because I didn't understand God's purpose was healing.

The thief wants you and me to stop and shrink back, but we should say "NO WAY!" and submit yourselves to God and his abundant life!
