The author of the book of Hebrews is unknown. There are many speculations, while most scholars assume it is Paul but there is no concrete evidence. This was written to a group of believers who had a firm foundation of the Old Testament scriptures. Jesus is compared to many different figures, such as Moses and Melchizedek. The main focus of this book is to elevate the authority of Jesus as superior over all, as well as challenge believers to remain faithful in the midst of persecution. Chapter 11, known as the "Hall of Faith" shares a reminder of some of the most notable people throughout the history of the bible and emphasized their faith.
