10 Days To A Better Back To School

DAY 7 OF 10

Isaiah 49:13

Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains! For the Lord comforts His people and will have compassion on His afflicted ones.

Praise be to God, that the Lord comforts His people. Moms need to be comforted all the time.  Being a mom is a great job, and a job worthy to be praised- but it is hard.  A mom gives of herself all day long, usually with no one pouring back into her. We sacrifice and love unconditionally because we love our children and we want to take care of them. But, at the end of the day, we are tired.

How amazing that our Heavenly Father knows and understands exactly where we are and He will comfort us. He will fill us up when we are empty, if we seek after Him. He promises to restore our souls. (Psalm 23:3)

Throughout your day today, as you feel yourself being drained of energy, drained of patience, and drained of love, cry out to God and ask Him to meet you where you are and to comfort you. Ask Him to fill you with energy, patience for your family and unconditional love towards others.

Prayer

Father,

Thank You Lord that You are the God of comfort. Thank You that You look after Your children and love on us. God, I admit I need You, more and more every day. Fill me when I am weak, fill me with all of Your power and love. I need You. Amen.
