As we partner with God in creating little pockets of heaven here on earth, keep in mind that this is all headed toward a culmination where heaven and earth will finally and forever be joined together as one. As we prepare for that day remember that the upsidedown kingdom around us is only a shadow of what will be. Jesus is inviting us into the mission of establishing and expanding the kingdom of heaven here on earth.
Yes, even you...with all of your quirks and faults and shortcomings. You are loved by Jesus more than you could ever imagine and have been empowered by the Holy Spirit to do what only you can do to advance the kingdom of heaven. So let's get after it together as we continue to pray, "on earth as it is in heaven."
As you read the following scripture, take a few moments to meditate on the word of God, then respond to the following questions:
- What has God revealed to you about His kingdom?
- What has God revealed to you about the King?
- What has God revealed to you about being a citizen of the new kingdom?
- Now, ask the Holy Spirit to provide you opportunities to live into God's kingdom today!
